McCook MNB Seniors Keep It Close Against Holdrege, Lose On Walkoff

McCook MNB Seniors fell to Holdrege 3-2 on Sunday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the eighth when Grayson Popple drew a walk, scoring one run.
Both teams were strong on the bump. Holdrege pitchers struck out eight, while McCook MNB Seniors sat down seven.
McCook MNB Seniors opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. McCook MNB Seniors first got on the board when Quentin Terry singled, scoring one run.

Miles Pollmann opened the game for McCook MNB Seniors. The hurler allowed four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out five and walking seven. Lyndon Rodewald stepped on the mound first for Holdrege. The pitcher surrendered eight hits and two runs over six and one-third innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Trenton Raile led McCook MNB Seniors with three hits in four at bats. Trey Tiller and Terry each drove in one run for McCook MNB Seniors. McCook MNB Seniors didn't commit a single error in the field. Terry had the most chances in the field with nine.
Nicholas Weides and Popple each drove in one run for Holdrege. Trey Weaver led Holdrege with two hits in three at bats. Tegan Weaver led Holdrege with two walks.
