Prenosil honored with special recognition by AFWA

Jenny Prenosil, agriculture program manager for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, was one of four people to receive Special Recognition Awards from the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies at its annual awards ceremony Sept. 16 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her exceptional service to the state of Nebraska, from October 2025 to July 2026, Prenosil provided exceptional and critically important service to AFWA and state members by also acting as the AFWA Interim Agriculture Policy Program Manager.

“In this capacity she regularly provided timely updates on Farm Bill Conservation Title policy, including information on Farm Bill negotiations, congressional action, and program implementation to state agency directors, the AFWA Agriculture committee and working group members and NGO partners,” said Tim McCoy, director of Nebraska Game and Parks. “Jenny’s exceptional service to AFWA and its members over the past year has been critically important.”

Also receiving Special Recognition Awards were Dr. Dwayne Etter of Michigan, Todd Bogenschutz of Iowa and Josh Avey of Arizona.

AFWA represents state, provincial and territorial fish and wildlife agencies throughout North America that manage fish and wildlife as public trust resources for current and future generations.
